Elizabeth Hurley and Brendan Fraser are back on screen together—25 years after starring opposite each other in the cult classic Bedazzled. The reunion, revealed by Hurley herself on Instagram, has thrilled fans of the iconic duo who once lit up the big screen with their undeniable chemistry.

Sharing a joyful photo of herself alongside Fraser, Hurley captioned the post: “Reunited! 25 years on, my beloved co-star of Bedazzled – the heavenly Brendan Fraser – and I are finally back on screen together. Bliss.” She added that the pair are teaming up for Breaking Bear, a “deranged new animated show” set to premiere on Tubi next year.

Bedazzled (2000) saw Hurley play the Devil, with Fraser as a hopeless romantic who sells his soul for a series of misguided wishes. Their hilarious on-screen dynamic became a fan favorite, and the film remains a cult hit decades later.

Fraser, now 56, made headlines in 2023 with his triumphant return to Hollywood, earning an Academy Award for his deeply moving performance in The Whale. The role marked a major comeback after years away from the spotlight. He also hosted the 96th Academy Awards, further signaling his return to the industry’s good graces.

However, Fraser’s path back to Hollywood has not been easy. In a powerful 2018 interview with GQ, he revealed that his career had suffered after he opened up about being sexually assaulted by a prominent figure in the industry in 2003. Fraser described the incident in disturbing detail, saying: “His left hand reaches around, grabs my a* cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint. And he starts moving it around. I felt ill. I felt like a little kid.”

Fraser admitted the encounter left him feeling “miserable,” “depressed,” and “reclusive.” He also said he received a written apology, but suspected he had been blacklisted by major institutions, including the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which oversees the Golden Globes.

Despite those dark years, Fraser’s recent resurgence has been met with wide acclaim and fan support. During his emotional Oscars speech, he said: “So this is what the multiverse looks like!”—a line that captured both his surprise and gratitude.

Now, with Breaking Bear on the horizon, fans can once again enjoy the beloved duo of Liz Hurley and Brendan Fraser—this time in animated form, but with all the charm intact.
