Elakshi Gupta, who won hearts with her portrayal of Soyarabai in 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior', is all set to reprise her role in the upcoming historical drama 'Veer Murarbaji'. This highly anticipated project, which stars Sourabh Raaj Jain as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, aims to delve even further into the captivating history of the Maratha Empire.


Speaking about her return to this iconic character, Elakshi shared, "I feel amazed that I got to play the same character of Soyarabai for the second time after Tanhaji in my upcoming film Veer Murarbaji. Portraying it for the second time I feel fortunate that I did justice to Soyarabia's character and I now resonate more deeply with it.."

Elakshi Gupta spills beans about her character and in the film she says, "Soyarabai, is the second wife of the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, she was a formidable woman. My character is strong and it holds a very special place in my heart as the audience will get to more about Soyarabai. I am super grateful as I would be sharing screen space with such amazing and renowned talents of the industry like Deepika Chikhalia Ma’am and Arun Govil Sir, who play my in-laws, Jija Mata, and Sambhaji Raje. It's like a dream come true to work with legends whom I have grown up watching in Ramayana. Also Ankit Mohan, Tanisha Mukherjee, Sourabh Raaj Jain, and many more." Elakshi added with palpable excitement.

The film Veer Murarbaji, is directed by Ajay Arekar and Anirudh Arekar, Almonds Creations also features Ankit Mohan as the titular character, aims to delve deeper into the stories of valor and sacrifice that shaped the era of Shivaji Maharaj.

Elakshi believes that many are unaware of the bravery of Veer Murarbaji and hopes the film will shed light on his remarkable story. "This film will offer the audience a deeper understanding of the era of Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Murarbaji. Just like I was initially unaware of his courage, I’m sure many others are too. I believe this movie will not only educate viewers about his heroism but will also captivate them," she shared.

Beyond her cinematic achievements, Elakshi is now showcasing her versatility on television as Sakshi in ZEE TV's new show 'Hamara Parivar', marking her television debut. This new venture adds another exciting dimension to her flourishing career, further cementing Elakshi Gupta's place in the entertainment industry as her star continues to shine brighter.
