Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan is riding on the success of his latest release, Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor has decided to ditch the OTT premiere and opted for the exclusive theatre-only release.
Aamir’s decision is widely praised by the fans and the celebrities. He also received compliments from exhibitors and distributors of the film, who have come together to felicitate Aamir.
The actor even received a special token of appreciation, fondly calling him the ‘Box Office Ka Baap.’ However, this is not the first time that he received such felicitation for his bold step.
Previously, Aamir was first honoured by distributors for his 1973 film Yaadon Ki Baaraat. The actor played the child version of Tariq’s character at just 8 years old. The film went on to become a classic.
However, the actor has once again been honoured by the distributors, living a full circle moment in his thriving career.
Meanwhile, Aamir’s recent release, Sitaare Zameen Par, continues to win the hearts of the audience with its uplifting story and powerful performances. The film is also enjoying a successful run at the box office collection. The sports drama collected over Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office.

Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film features 10 rising actors, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
The film is produced under Aamir Khan Productions and stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles.
Sitaare Zameen Par is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones and follows a basketball coach who serves community service by training Neurodivergent adults after a DUI. However, his life changed as he learns from his players.
