Director Amar Kaushik to team up with Vikramaditya Motwane for Lust Stories 3: Report

Amar Kaushik and Vikramaditya Motwane will direct Lust Stories 3

Director Amar Kaushik, who is known for hit films like Stree and Bhediya, will soon direct Netflix’s hit short film, Lust Stories 3. He will be joined by the list of filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, and Shakun Batra.

According to the recent reports by News18 Showsha, Amar will take on a different genre for the first time. He has mostly worked in the horror-comedy genre under Maddock Films.

A source said, “It’s true that Vikramaditya, Kiran and Shakun will be directing three films for 'Lust Stories 3'. The fourth addition is Amar Kaushik. This will be the first time that he’ll be stepping out of the Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe.”

The source added, “While much isn’t known about his short film, one may expect comical elements as that’s what Amar’s storytelling has become popular for. He’s one of the busiest filmmakers today and the creators of Lust Stories 3 were extremely keen on having him on board.”

For the unversed, Lust Stories is a series of short films about love, relationships, and intimacy, featuring different directors with their own storytelling styles. However, Lust Stories 3 is in the works and shooting is expected to begin this year. Meanwhile, the cast of the Netflix series is yet to be unveiled.

On the work front, Amar Kaushik has a series of movies to direct. He is scheduled to helm Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer vampire horror-comedy, Thama. He is also currently working on the most-awaited, Bhediya 2, which is set to be released on August 16, 2026, and Stree 3 will hit the theatres on August 13, 2027.
