Television actress Dipika Kakar, known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, has now completed one month since undergoing surgery for stage 2 liver cancer.
Through social media and vlogs, the actress and her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, have regularly kept fans informed about their health journey. The couple recently posted a thorough update on her current health and the next stage of her treatment in a video.
Looking back on the previous month, Shoaib revealed that July 3rd was precisely one month since Dipika's surgery. He thought back to the nervousness he experienced on June 3rd while awaiting the procedure. The couple went to the hospital for a required follow-up after completing the first crucial phase of treatment.
Dipika will receive targeted therapy, a cutting-edge method of treating some cancers, as part of her recuperation. Shoaib clarified that the doctor gave advice on the next steps after speaking with an oncologist. Dipika acknowledged that she is anxious about the impending therapy, especially in light of potential adverse effects and potential reactions.
Following medical advice, Shoaib detailed the precautions they’ve been instructed to follow. “She has been advised to walk but to avoid yoga and lifting weights,” he said. “She was instructed to avoid outside food and to consume meals prepared at home.”
Giving insight into the severity of the case, Shoaib explained, “As far as the body is concerned, there are currently no cancer cells present. However, the biopsy report that we received and the PET scan we reviewed indicated a more serious situation. The tumour was classified as grade three and poorly differentiated, which means it was quite aggressive. Therefore, the chances of recurrence are significant.”
As part of her treatment, Dipika will be taking oral medication at home every day as part of targeted therapy. Chemotherapy has been excluded because it is usually less effective for liver cancer. In the event that any cancer cells resurface, immunotherapy may be taken into consideration, Shoaib continued.

On the work front, Dipika was last seen participating in Celebrity MasterChef, and fans continue to send their love and prayers for her recovery.
