Television actress Dipika Kakar has finally returned home after spending 11 days in the hospital following her liver tumour surgery. In a heartfelt update shared through their vlog, her husband Shoaib Ibrahim opened up about her ongoing recovery, the emotional rollercoaster they’ve experienced, and the road still ahead.

Dipika recently underwent a complex 14-hour surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. Though stable now, Shoaib emphasized that her treatment is far from over. “She’s home now, but there’s still a lot ahead. We have to go for regular check-ups, and the doctors are monitoring her closely,” he shared.

Upon her return, Dipika reunited with her little son Ruhaan and the entire family, marking an emotional homecoming. Shoaib also showed fans the hospital couch where he had been staying for 11 days to be by her side throughout the difficult period. “The last few days have been extremely tough for our family, but everyone’s prayers and support have helped us stay strong,” he added.

The couple had planned to share the vlog earlier, but Shoaib postponed uploading it in light of the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, offering condolences to the victims’ families.

In earlier updates, Shoaib documented Dipika’s small but significant steps toward recovery—trying to walk, eating on her own, and slowly returning to a normal routine. “She’s on a regular diet and doing better every day,” he assured fans.

Speaking to her well-wishers, Dipika, visibly emotional, struggled to hold back tears. Lightening the mood, she joked, “I was already emotional; now I’m even more so!” Shoaib agreed, sharing how surgery has made her even more sensitive.

As the couple navigates this challenging phase, Shoaib thanked friends, family, house help, and fans for their unconditional support, requesting continued prayers for Dipika’s complete recovery.
