Dipika Kakar breaks down while sharing struggles with heavy medication, reveals her blood test came back normal, watch

Actress Dipika Kakar, much loved for her appearance on Celebrity MasterChef, is celebrating Eid with her family, but behind the festive smiles, she recently opened up about a difficult personal battle.

Dipika disclosed that she has been ill for a while in her YouTube vlogs, in which she frequently offers snippets of her everyday life. She had blood tests to check her condition, and happily, the results were normal, which greatly relieved the family, according to her husband Shoaib Ibrahim.

In their latest vlog, Dipika became emotional as she spoke about the toll her treatment has taken. She revealed she is on medication following a stage two liver cancer diagnosis. “There are days when I don’t feel well as I’m taking tablets that are very heavy. It feels heavy from within and because of the medicines and the diagnosis, there’s something to deal with every day. I motivate myself every day by saying that there are so many people praying for me and hence everything will be alright.”

Breaking down in front of the camera, she added softly, “I say this to the doctor as well, that I can show obedience on my part. However, the rest I’ve left on God.” Beside her, Shoaib consoled his wife, expressing gratitude that the test results gave them some good news.

Dipika has been open with her fans about how even small infections affect her more strongly now. In an earlier vlog, she explained how she caught a cold from her son Ruhaan, which quickly worsened because of her lowered immunity.

"Ruhaan se infection mujhe lag gaya. Aur mere case mein infection thoda zyada severe ho gaya kyunki main treatment pe hoon, aur uss time pe aapki body ki immunity thodi low hoti hai. Doctor ne humein pehle hi bataya hua tha ki kisi bhi tarah ka viral ho ya fever ho toh sabse pehle mujhe call karna (I caught the infection from Ruhaan. And in my case, the infection became a bit more severe because I’m undergoing treatment, and during that time, your body’s immunity tends to be low. The doctor had already informed us that if I get any kind of viral infection or fever, I should call him immediately)"

She continued, “Unko jaise hi call kiya unhone antibiotics start ki. Bohot heavy dose ki. Aur anti-allergic bhi start ki hai, toh uss wajah se woh bohot heavy padh raha hai (As soon as I called him, he started me on antibiotics — a very heavy dose. He also prescribed anti-allergics, which are making me feel quite heavy/drowsy)"
