Punjabi singer Karan Aujla unexpectedly found himself in the middle of a social media storm after he briefly reposted a video criticising actor Kiara Advani’s alleged behaviour on a flight. A screenshot of the repost began circulating widely on Reddit, quickly sparking conversations across Instagram and X, with users debating why the singer chose to reshare the clip.

The video was originally posted by Instagram user Kartikey Tiwari, who shared his account of travelling on a Jaipur-to-Mumbai flight with Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan. According to Tiwari, he was flying with his mother and brother in business class. The actors were also on the same flight, having been in Jaipur for the promotions of their film Satyaprem Ki Katha.

In his video, Tiwari alleged that his mother accidentally sat on Kiara Advani’s assigned seat due to a brief mix-up. An air hostess soon pointed out the mistake, following which his mother immediately moved to the correct seat. Tiwari claimed that despite the situation being resolved quickly, Kiara reacted with what he described as a “disgusted” expression upon realising that a non-celebrity had briefly occupied her seat.

He further alleged that Kartik Aaryan appeared “ajeeb sa”, saying the actor did not interact with the airline staff directly and communicated only with Kiara, and that too in English. Tiwari also claimed that after the flight landed, an air hostess requested a picture with the actors, which they declined, citing that they were running late before exiting the aircraft.

The video later gained traction after being shared by a popular news page on Instagram. It was this repost that eventually caught attention when Karan Aujla reshared the clip on his own Instagram account. Though the repost was visible only briefly, screenshots of it quickly made their way to Reddit, where users began speculating about the singer’s intent.

Some netizens found the moment amusing and interpreted it as a subtle reaction. “Lagta hai @karanaujla paaji ne bhi face kiya hai that’s why he reposted it 😂 love u paaji ❤️,” read one comment on Instagram. Another user wrote, “Bhai par aujla ne repost kyun kiya 😂”.

Others, however, believed it may have been accidental. “I know Aujla did repost by mistake,” commented one user, pointing to Instagram’s relatively new repost feature, which some users are still unfamiliar with. A few also suggested that the repost could have been a reporting error rather than a deliberate share.

Interestingly, the video is no longer visible on Karan Aujla’s Instagram profile, suggesting it was taken down shortly after being reposted. Neither Aujla nor Kiara Advani has reacted publicly to the incident so far. As the debate continues online, the episode once again highlights how fleeting social media actions can quickly snowball into viral controversies.
