After hours of confusion, delays, and cancellations, paid previews of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have finally begun across several theatres in Mumbai and Delhi. The film, which had been facing major disruptions earlier in the evening, managed to roll out screenings late, bringing some relief to eager audiences.
In Mumbai, multiple cinema halls reported delays of up to 30–45 minutes before the film could start. Viewers who had arrived on time for paid preview shows were initially left waiting inside auditoriums without clear communication. Theatre staff later informed audiences that the delay was due to technical and content delivery issues affecting screenings across locations.
A similar situation unfolded in Delhi NCR, where the scheduled 5 pm shows were significantly impacted. In several multiplexes, shows did not start as planned, leading to confusion and crowd build-up. However, as the evening progressed, screenings gradually began in many locations, easing the situation to an extent.
While Hindi screenings eventually went ahead, the same could not be said for the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film. Several theatres confirmed that the regional language content had not been delivered in time, forcing them to cancel those shows entirely. As a result, audiences who had booked tickets for Tamil and Telugu paid previews were informed about cancellations at the last minute.

Multiplex chains and theatre managements acted quickly to address the situation by issuing full refunds for all cancelled shows. Notices were put up across cinema halls, and digital refunds were initiated for online bookings. While this helped manage the immediate fallout, many viewers expressed disappointment over the inconvenience and lack of prior communication.
The issue appears to stem from a broader distribution and content delivery breakdown, rather than isolated theatre-level glitches. With a film of this scale and anticipation, the expectation of a smooth rollout was high, making the disruptions even more noticeable.
Despite the rocky start, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, remains one of the most anticipated releases of the year. With its full theatrical release set for March 19, all eyes are now on how the film performs once operations stabilize and the focus shifts back to the big-screen experience.
