Dhurandhar: The Revenge may be only slightly longer than the first film, but the excitement around it is on a completely different level.

When Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar released on 5 December, its 208-minute runtime had people unsure. Many wondered if audiences would sit through such a long spy thriller. But once the film hit theatres, those doubts quickly faded.

Viewers were pulled into the story, with Ranveer Singh’s powerful performance and the gripping narrative keeping them hooked till the very end.

What started as hesitation soon turned into massive word of mouth. Audiences not only embraced the film but also returned to watch it again, something exhibitors hadn’t quite expected. Over time, Dhurandhar went on to achieve All-Time Blockbuster status, becoming one of the biggest successes in Indian cinema.

Now, the sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge, backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, is all set to release on 18 March. This time, the film runs for 3 hours and 49 minutes—just 16 minutes longer than the original. But those extra minutes are said to bring even more action, drama and emotional intensity, taking the story forward on a much bigger scale.

Interestingly, the runtime doesn’t seem to be a concern for audiences anymore. If anything, the buzz is stronger than ever. Advance bookings have been impressive across markets, both in India and overseas, showing just how much anticipation has built up for the sequel.

There’s also a sense of trust this time. The first film has already set a strong foundation, and fans seem ready to invest their time again, expecting a bigger and more thrilling experience.

As the franchise moves ahead, Dhurandhar: The Revenge looks poised for a huge opening. With higher stakes, larger set pieces and the weight of expectations behind it, the film promises to deliver a cinematic experience that feels both familiar and bigger than before.

The film will release on 19th March, will early paid previews being shown on 18th March.
