Dharmendra spotted with a bandaged eye after eye graft surgery, says ‘Abhi bhi bohut damm hai’

Veteran actor Dharmendra was recently left shocked and concerned after being spotted with a bandaged eye on Tuesday in Mumbai. However, the actor reassured his fans that he is still strong and will soon recover.

A  paparazzi video of Dharmendra is going viral on the internet in which the actor talked about his medical procedure. In the video posted on Instagram, Dharmendra told the photographers how strong he is while talking about his eyes.

The actor said, “Abhi bhi bohut damm hai, bohut jaan rakhta hoon…Mere aankh mein graft hua hai. Toh aata hun, hann (I'm still very strong…I underwent an eye graft. I'll leave now, ok)?”

The actor further noted, “Love you audience, love you my friends, my fans. I'm strong.” In the video, the actor can be seen with a plaster across his right eye.

For the unversed, an eye graft, also called a corneal transplant, is a surgery that helps fix a damaged or sick cornea. It replaces the bad part with healthy tissue from a donor to help you see better or stop eye pain.

Fans instantly took to the comment section of the video and penned about their concern. A social media user wrote, “Kya huwa aapko plz apna khayal rakhiye bas khas karke abhi in do saal… love you sir.” Another person wrote, “Love you dharam ji ye kya ho gya.” A third Instagram user penned, “Get well soon Dharam paaji.”

On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in Karan Johar's 2023 directorial film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, and Kshitee Jog in key roles

The actor currently doesn’t have any new film in his pipeline, but he is speculated to star in the upcoming film Ekkis alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Shree Bishnoi.
