He went on to note that before Kabir Singh, audiences often linked his intense roles to his portrayal of Tommy Singh in Udta Punjab. Shahid added that, in fact, he is more frequently compared to his performance in Udta Punjab than to Kabir Singh.
Deva follows the gripping journey of a fearless cop, Dev, who sets out to avenge his friend’s death but finds himself grappling with memory loss. Directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews, the film is produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
