Contrary to swirling rumours online, Deepika Padukone has not been dropped from Kalki 2, nor has there been any “friction” with her co-stars or the film’s crew. Reports alleging tension between Deepika and co-star Prabhas were categorically denied by sources close to the project. They confirmed to NDTV that such claims are “absolutely false.”

The confusion appears to have stemmed from earlier buzz around Deepika reportedly stepping away from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, allegedly due to her preference for fixed 8-hour work shifts. Following that, director Vanga posted cryptic tweets criticizing actors for “wanting luxury,” which many assumed were veiled jabs at Deepika. When Triptii Dimri was later cast in Spirit, online speculation escalated, with many assuming Deepika had been replaced.
