A Bengaluru court has issued a stern warning to Kannada actor Darshan for skipping a murder case hearing, expressing strong displeasure over his absence.
In 2011, the actor got into trouble for allegedly assaulting his wife, Vijayalakshmi. The actor was arrested by the Vijayanagar police and booked for attempt to murder and domestic violence.
He previously failed to appear before the Civil and Sessions Court on Tuesday; upon this, the judge declared that no further exemptions would be granted for him.
Darshan's legal team had provided the Court with his health reports of severe back pain, but Darshan was recently spotted attending a film event, which made the matters worse.
Darshan was seen at the special screening of the Kannada film Vamana the very next day after he didn't show up, allegedly due to health issues at the Court.
Apparently, the screening was held especially for Darshan, which lasted for 3 hours and the public outrage and the court have been bashing him for presenting false claims regarding his health in order to not attend the hearing.
The Court has taken some serious actions against him and has issued that his presence in further hearings is mandatory, and if he fails to attend, it would lead to legal repercussions, including cancellation of bail.
This has led to media and public questioning celebrity status and the accountability of the stars during Court hearings.
Legal observers have raised concerns that such behavior gives out wrong messages to the common people.
This isn't the first time Darshan has faced legal turbulence in his life, this murder case continues to draw widespread attention from the media with every new update. While the Court has ordered strict actions, all eyes are on Darshan, and his next move will be closely observed.
The next hearing of this case is expected to be soon, and with every new development in this case, the Court has ensured justice will not be delayed.
