Rajinikanth is gearing up for his upcoming thriller, Coolie. The film has created a significant buzz on social media with the makers increasing the excitement among the fans with the latest update.

The makers have recently announced the release date of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial film. Sun Pictures, the production house behind the film, took to the official social media handle to announce the news. Coolie will be released in the theatres on August 14.

The production house shared a thrilling poster of the upcoming film featuring Rajinikanth on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Sound-ah yethu! Deva Varraaru #Coolie worldwide from August 14th.”

The upcoming film notably marked Rajinikanth’s 171st film. Meanwhile, the poster provided an intense and rugged look of Rajinikanth. The actor sported a thick beard and disheveled hair, conveying a raw and powerful persona. He is shown with blood on his face and fingers, giving off a gritty and action-packed vibe.

The background of the poster features a mix of mechanical gears and bold red typography displaying the release date, August 14, emphasizing the worldwide release.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie features an ensemble star cast, with actors from various industries coming together, including, Kannada star Upendra, Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, Malayalam’s Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan.

Pooja Hegde will make a special appearance in a dance number, and there are strong rumors that Bollywood star Aamir Khan is also part of the film. However, the makers have not yet confirmed his involvement.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran, the action thriller features music by Anirudh Ravichander, who previously composed for Vettaiyan and Jailer. Coolie is expected to be an action-packed drama and marks the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
