Popular K-pop band BTS is among the fans’ favourite boy bands and continues to make waves on the global stage. The band has recently released their live album PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE, and it is creating to breaking all the streaming records.
According to the latest Billboard chart released on July 29, BTS’ live album PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks the eighth BTS album to enter the chart’s Top 10, setting a new record for Korean artists.
However, the album has also bagged the top spot at the World Albums chart and landed at No. 2 on both the Top Album Sales and Top Current Albums charts.
Further highlighting BTS’s dominance, tracks from the live album topped the World Digital Song Sales chart, occupying all positions from No. 1 to No. 10. This remarkable achievement marks the first time live versions of songs have completely taken over the chart.
BTS’ PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE, ON - LIVE, and FIRE - LIVE tracks are notably leading the way.
In addition to the group’s success, BTS members’ solo releases also continue to dominate the chart. On the Billboard Global 200, J-Hope’s Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla) earned No. 81, Jin’s Don’t Say You Love Me placed No. 112, Jimin’s Who ranked No. 134, and Jungkook’s Seven (feat. Latto) came in at No. 151. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, these tracks ranked at No. 45, 48, 79, and 82, respectively.
All seven BTS members, RM, Jin, Jimin, Suga, Jungkook, J-Hope, and V, have recently returned from their mandatory military services and reunited at J-Hope’s concert for the first time in three years. However, the band is currently in the US, to work on their comeback album.
