K-pop boy band BTS member Jungkook has achieved yet another significant milestone in his solo career. The National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) has formally certified his single 3D as Gold in France, giving him his fourth solo Gold award in that nation.
3D achieved more than 15 million streams in France, according to SNEP, making it eligible for Gold status under the nation's certification requirements. The success of the song is indicative of Jungkook's increasing prominence as a solo performer, particularly in the European music industry.
Jungkook's first solo single, Seven, his solo album, GOLDEN, and the album's title track, Standing Next to You, have all earned him gold certification in France. Notably, GOLDEN became the first solo K-pop album to be certified gold in the nation.
By adding 3D to this list, Jungkook has now achieved four solo Gold certifications in France, enhancing his standing as a major force in streaming worldwide.
3D has also won numerous international awards outside of France. Music Canada certified it Platinum and Gold, and the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) certified it Gold for streaming in Japan.
His single, which was first released in September 2023, is still performing well. On July 28, the song returned to Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart, and by August 3, it had risen to No. 166. With daily increases of over 1.6 million streams, the song has amassed over 962 million Spotify plays.
3D debuted at No. 5 on the Hot 100 chart on Billboard and stayed there for nine weeks. Additionally, it topped the Global Excl. U.S. and Billboard Global 200 charts, where it remained for 33 and 27 weeks, respectively. The single spent eight weeks on the UK charts after debuting at No. 5 on the Official Singles Chart Top 100.
