BTS member Jin, who recently made a surprise appearance alongside Coldplay during their concert in Seoul, continues to captivate fans with both his stage presence and his musical aspirations.

As the buzz around his upcoming solo tour, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, builds momentum, Jin has also shed light on a dream collaboration that has fans even more excited.

In a heartwarming moment during his appearance on BuzzFeed’s latest “puppy interview” segment, aired on 10 June, Kim Seokjin—affectionately known as Jin—was asked which artist he would fanboy over the most if given the chance to meet them properly. His answer was immediate and full of admiration:

“I’ve only met him in passing, but I would love to collaborate with Bruno Mars one day.” Expressing genuine enthusiasm, he added, “I’m a huge fan of his,” and described the idea of working together as “quite fun.”

Jin went on to share that his appreciation for the Grammy-winning artist goes back to before his own debut with BTS.

He recalled practising his vocals using one of Mars' most iconic tracks. “I often practiced my vocals by singing Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars before debut. It is one of my favourite songs,” he said, revealing how influential Bruno Mars was in shaping his early musical journey.

He also expressed his admiration for APT., a more recent release by Bruno Mars in collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Rosé. “I love APT., his recent collab with Rosé,” Jin noted, showing his support for fellow K-pop stars branching into global partnerships.

The idea of a Jin x Bruno Mars collaboration instantly sent ARMYs and pop fans into a frenzy.
