BTS member Jin and singer-actor IU have recently come forward to give back to the community. They have recently made donations to South Korean Children's Day.

According to Allkpop, Jin has donated to the children’s ward at the Seoul Asan Medical Centre, while IU has made donations for children with disabilities. The outlet reported that Jin expressed that seeing children battle illness pains him deeply.

BTS’ Jin said, “My heart aches every time I see children battling illness. I decided to make this small donation in hopes that these children can recover quickly and play joyfully again.”

The hospital has informed that Jin’s donation will be used to "improve medical services and facilities for pediatric and adolescent patients".

Meanwhile, IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment has released a statement following the donation that reads, “To commemorate Children’s Day, IU donated a total of 150 million KRW under the name ‘IUaena’ (IU + Uaena, the name of her fan club).”

IU’s donation will be used for "youth preparing for independence and improving the living conditions of children with disabilities.” The report also suggested that the donation will be used to replace old boilers, cover medical and rehabilitation costs, and provide gifts for children.
