Boney Kapoor's upcoming film No Entry 2 has generated significant buzz, largely due to its exciting casting choices. The sequel to the 2005 hit No Entry—which featured a star-studded cast of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly—will now see Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor stepping into key roles.

Fans are eagerly anticipating this new installment, which promises to bring fresh energy to the beloved comedy, while keeping the original's charm alive.

During a conversation with News18 Showsha, Boney Kapoor shared insights into why the original cast of No Entry couldn't be retained for the sequel, including his brother Anil Kapoor. He provided an update on No Entry 2, revealing that shooting will commence in June 2025. Kapoor also expressed his confidence in the project, promising that the sequel will surpass the success of the original, offering something even better for audiences to enjoy.

"It (shooting) will begin soon, probably sooner than expected. We’ve decided on the release date also, it would be October 26, 2025 – Diwali release. The shooting will probably start in June or July. Hopefully, we catch up with the target because again will have a lot of post-production," Boney Kapoor mentioned.

He went on to say, "It is a film which has a lot of potential. In fact, people who’ve heard the subject of No Entry 2 feel that it is better than the earlier No Entry. It has all those elements. Unfortunately, we cannot repeat the same star cast. I waited long enough, but everybody had their own reasons and I respect those reasons. So, it has been freshly packaged now,"

Boney Kapoor's latest film, Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, underperformed at the box office, grossing under Rs 70 crore despite receiving positive reviews from critics.

In the same interview, Boney Kapoor also opened up on Maidaan’s box office debacle and said, "Somehow it didn’t draw enough crowd to the theatres. And I failed to wonder why it didn’t. Maybe we lacked some kind of promotional activity or probably it was not pitched rightly. Probably they thought that the film had come and gone because we were making it for four years. They didn’t realise we were stuck for 3 years because of COVID,"

In addition to No Entry 2, Boney Kapoor, the director of Mom, is also working on upcoming projects including Shrimaan Bharat, Love Today, and Mom 2.
