The Bombay High Court is scheduled to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on February 19, calling for a more thorough investigation into the deaths of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian.

The petition specifically demands the arrest and questioning of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray in connection with the cases, which have remained mired in controversy since 2020.

The PIL emphasizes that both deaths occurred under suspicious circumstances and alleges a potential cover-up. Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020, while Salian reportedly fell from a high-rise building on June 8, 2020.

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, the petitioner argues that Aditya Thackeray's name has frequently surfaced in discussions surrounding the case and insists on his interrogation. However, Thackeray has repeatedly refuted these claims, labeling them as politically driven and baseless.

The 34-year-old actor was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020, igniting widespread controversy. His postmortem examination, conducted at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital, determined the cause of death to be asphyxia.

Over the years, numerous conspiracy theories have surrounded Sushant Singh Rajput's death, leading to investigations by multiple agencies, including the Mumbai Police, CBI, NCB, and ED.

Now, nearly five years later, the Bombay High Court is set to hear a PIL filed by Rashid Khan Pathan, President of the Supreme Court and High Court Litigants Association of India, demanding further scrutiny of the case.

Sushant gained widespread recognition with the television show Pavitra Rishta before transitioning to Bollywood, where he delivered notable performances in films like Kai Po Che, Chhichhore, M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story, and Raabta.
