Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the action thriller serves as the sixth film in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe and continues the story of Kabir Dhaliwal, played by Hrithik Roshan, as he takes on Jr NTR’s Major Vikram Chelapathi in a global mission filled with twists, betrayals, and action.

According to data from a trade expert site, War 2 opened with a solid Rs 52 crore on its first day — Rs 29 crore from Hindi, Rs 22.75 crore from Telugu, and Rs 0.25 crore from Tamil audiences. By the end of its first week, the film’s total reached Rs204.25 crore.

However, it saw a sharp dip in its second week, collecting Rs 27 crore, and wrapped up its domestic run at Rs 236.55 crore. Globally, the film brought in an impressive Rs 364.35 crore.

Critics had mixed reviews, but fans couldn’t stop raving about Hrithik Roshan’s high-octane performance and Jr NTR’s commanding screen presence. The chemistry between the two powerhouses added to the film’s mass appeal.
