Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana’s horror-comedy Thamma continues to enjoy a strong run at the box office in its first week after release.
According to industry tracking websites, Thamma earned Rs 10 crore on Day 4 since its release on October 22.
The film had a blockbuster opening, collecting Rs 24 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 18.6 crore on Day 2 and Rs 13 crore on Day 3. Despite Friday, October 24, being a working day, the film maintained its momentum and collected another Rs 10 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 65.65 crore.
On the same day, Thamma's overall Hindi theatre occupancy rate was 13.63%. When show timings were broken down, morning shows had 7.35% occupancy, afternoon shows 15.40%, evening shows 0%, and night shows 18.13%.
In case you haven't seen it yet, Thamma is the fifth film in the Maddock horror-comedy series. The movie has now made more money domestically than Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, which brought in Rs 60.35 crore.
Both Rashmika and Ayushmann took to social media to express their gratitude for the love and support the film has received. Rashmika shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the sets along with an emotional note. She wrote, “From the very first call-sheet to the final cut, this film has been more than just work… it’s been a journey of heart, of grit, of laughter and bruises and mornings we didn’t want to wake up for and nights we didn’t want to end.”

Ayushmann also thanked fans and everyone involved in the film for the positive response. He reflected on the challenges his family has faced this year, writing, “My family, my late father and the audience has blessed Thamma with love. Don’t be surprised if you come across an overwhelmed me in one of the theatres in the suburbs. I may drop in to say Hi and Thank you!”
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma features Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles, and its success has further cemented its place as a hit in the Maddock horror-comedy franchise.
