Taapsee Pannu has hit back sharply at media reports claiming she has “moved abroad permanently” after marrying former Danish badminton player Mathias Boe. She called out sensational headlines and urged journalists to do a little homework.
The Dunki actress reshared a reel of the story on her Instagram and publicly corrected the narrative, saying the headline was both wrong and reckless.
The controversy stems from comments Taapsee made in a recent interview about her life in Denmark, where her husband’s parents live. Speaking about household arrangements, she had explained that the family share a home, an arrangement she called “the most Indian thing” because it’s uncommon in Danish culture.
Those remarks were reportedly taken out of context by one portal, which ran a banner claiming she had “left India and shifted abroad.” Taapsee, who has generally kept her private life low-profile since her intimate Udaipur wedding in March 2024, was quick to set the record straight.
Reacting to the misleading headline, Taapsee wrote on Instagram, “Can there be a less false and less sensational headline!!!??? Ya phir headline galat ho ya sahi, aap toh kahenge ‘Sabse tez’ portal. Maybe slow down and do a little bit of research…???” She added a sarcastic afterthought, “PS – WTF is this while munching my dosa in this humid hot Mumbai morning.”
Taapsee and Mathias appear to divide their time between Mumbai and Denmark, balancing professional commitments in India with family life in Europe.
On the work front, Taapsee was last seen in Khel Khel Mein. he continues to juggle projects while managing life between two countries. She is currently reported to be working on titles such as Gandhari and Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan.
