Veteran actor and former MP Shatrughan Sinha was seen arriving at Sunny Deol’s residence on Tuesday evening, quietly stepping in to offer his condolences following the passing of the legendary Dharmendra.

In a short video captured by paparazzi outside the residence, Shatrughan Sinha emerged from his car without fanfare, his demeanour subdued, reflecting the weight of the moment.

Dharmendra’s passing at the age of 89 has cast a long shadow over the industry. Fondly remembered as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’, he was much more than an action hero—he was a warm, affectionate presence whose charm, humility, and generosity touched countless lives.

Shatrughan Sinha and Dharmendra shared a bond that went far beyond film sets. Their camaraderie stretched across eras of Hindi cinema, built on mutual admiration and deep respect.

Meanwhile, actress Ameesha Patel, who was unable to attend the last rites, opened up about her final meeting with Dharmendra during his hospitalisation.

She recalled to News18, “It was a very tense situation and they needed to be left alone even at that time. He was in a very critical situation. Whether it was Shah Rukh, Salman or me, we were there briefly for ten minutes just to hug Sunny. It was a moment he couldn’t wrap his head around since it was about a person he loves the most.”

Ameesha further shared that she has chosen not to call the family yet, out of deep respect for their grief.

“They’re under immense emotional pressure. I don’t want to trouble them because they’ve enough visitors and callers and it wouldn’t be fair… They need their privacy to be able to grapple with the situation,” she said.

She added that once she returns to Mumbai, visiting the Deol family will be her first priority.

“It’s not an easy situation for them. They need the time to grieve and we need to give them that.”

Dharmendra is survived by his wives Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, and daughters Vijeta, Ajeita, Esha, and Ahana Deol—a family now surrounded by both the immense love he left behind and the deep grief of his loss.
