Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King has been making major waves ever since its first promo dropped. Reports suggest that the makers are going all out to create a grand action spectacle that matches the feel of a global blockbuster.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the production cost of King is around Rs 350 crore, making it one of the most expensive action films ever produced in India.
The film, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, attempts to have the scope of an action movie from Hollywood, but it only uses a fifth of their typical budget.
As per reports, the Pathaan director has prepared six enormous, top-notch action scenes that will provide viewers with a memorable big-screen experience. Three of these will be filmed in actual foreign locales, with the remaining scenes being filmed on ornate sets.
Shah Rukh Khan's spectacular opening sequence, which is anticipated to be one of the movie's main highlights, is reportedly costing a significant amount of the budget.
King, which is presently in production and is scheduled for a spectacular 2026 release, is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The movie aims to redefine Shah Rukh Khan's persona for a new cinematic era by showcasing him in a new, strong character.
