Late actor Satish Shah’s prayer meet was held today at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai, where family, friends, and members of the film fraternity gathered to pay their respects and remember the beloved actor.

In a video that went viral on social media, his wife Madhu Shah was seen in obvious heartbreak, her sorrow mirroring the profound void left by his death. The scene was charged with emotion.

The legacy that Satish Shah left behind, who died of kidney failure at the age of 74, is still felt by both colleagues and admirers.

On Monday, October 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Shraddhanjali Kriya (prayer meet) attracted a sincere attendance from all over the industry.

Numerous well-known figures from the entertainment industry came to the prayer meeting to express their condolences and honour the actor's extraordinary life. David Dhawan, Johnny Lever, Sumeet Raghavan, and a number of others were among those seen, uniting to pay tribute to the man who filled innumerable homes with warmth and laughter.

Friends and coworkers from television and film attended his funeral, which was held earlier at Mumbai's Pawan Hans Crematorium, with equal emotion. Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Deven Bhojani, JD Majethia, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak, Farah Khan, Avatar Gill, and Jackie Shroff were among the notable guests.

Over a distinguished career spanning more than four decades, Satish Shah became one of the most cherished figures in Indian entertainment.

Known for his easy sense of humour and charming demeanour, he made a lasting impression with memorable performances in films like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Fanaa, and Om Shanti Om, as well as iconic roles in television series like Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai and Hum Paanch.

His passing marks the end of an era in Indian cinema and television, but his work continues to bring smiles — a true reflection of the joy he spread throughout his life.
