His career boasted a vast range of memorable performances — from tender romantic dramas like Satyakam and Chupke Chupke to powerful action-packed blockbusters such as Sholay and Dharam Veer.

Family, friends and colleagues gathered through the morning to bid him farewell at the Vile Parle crematorium.
