Lilly Singh is back in Mumbai, and as always, she knows exactly how to make an entrance. The YouTuber-comedian-actor arrived last week wearing a Shah Rukh Khan T-shirt, instantly catching the eye of fans and paparazzi alike.
She’s in the city to film the new season of her podcast Shame Less With Lilly Singh, but her trip has also stirred up a wave of nostalgia—especially as she opened up about a cherished memory involving none other than SRK himself.
During a chat with Hindustan Times, Lilly affectionately recalled the time Shah Rukh Khan invited her to his Mumbai home, Mannat, during one of her earlier visits.
The experience meant the world to her, especially since she grew up idolising him. “It was one of the greatest days of my life, being hosted at Mannat. Which is why when I landed I wore an SRK shirt,” she said, explaining the sweet reason behind her outfit choice.
She added with a laugh, “What’s funny is everytime I’m in Mumbai in an auto, the rickshaw driver will say ‘Madam that’s Shah Rukh Khan’s house’ and I say ‘Oh really.’ Of course I don’t tell them I’ve been in his house. I met his family, had lunch there. He gave me one of his blazers that I have till date.”
For any SRK fan, that would be a dream come true—and Lilly’s joy is unmistakable even now.
Her airport look also sparked plenty of attention. She paired the SRK tee with comfortable black baggy trousers and a matching cap.
Spotting the paparazzi, she smiled and greeted them in Marathi, saying, “Kasa kaay, Mumbai?” When asked about her outfit, she replied with her trademark humour, “When you land in Mumbai, you have to pay respect to the King.”

Lilly is in India to work on the upcoming season of Shame Less With Lilly Singh, which plans to bring on a broader range of Indian celebrities across various fields.
Previous episodes have featured Aditi Rao Hydari, Ananya Panday, Neena Gupta, Bhumi Pednekar and Sidharth Malhotra. This time around, fans can expect even more variety and candid conversations.
