Kriti Sanon has officially wrapped filming for the Sicily schedule of Cocktail 2. The actress took to Instagram on Friday to share behind-the-scenes photos featuring the cast and crew of the upcoming Homi Adajania film.

“Ciao my Bellas. And just like that we’ve wrapped #TheSicilianChapter of #Cocktail2. Sunshine, rain and ending with a beautiful Rainbow,” Kriti Sanon wrote alongside an Instagram carousel that included candid shots from the wrap party in Italy.

The post also featured director Homi Adajania, with the team celebrating the milestone over food, drinks, and laughter.

A sequel fans didn’t see coming

Cocktail 2 will serve as a sequel to Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone’s 2012 hit Cocktail, which followed a complicated love triangle between Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. The original film, written by Imtiaz Ali, became known for its urban storytelling and chartbuster music.

The new film, produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, has a script penned by Luv Ranjan. While details of the storyline are still under wraps, Kriti Sanon’s update suggests the team is pushing ahead swiftly.

The cast lineup

Joining Kriti Sanon in Cocktail 2 are Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. This marks the first time Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna will share screen space, while Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor were last seen together in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024).

Rashmika Mandanna’s inclusion has already sparked buzz, especially as the actress enjoys massive popularity across both Hindi and South industries.
