Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has recently bagged his first-ever Filmfare award in the ‘Best Actor’ category for his role in Chandu Champion.
Kartik celebrated his milestone moment in his career by expressing gratitude towards the crew behind the film.
He took to his Instagram and shared a series of pictures with his award and penned in the caption, “Champion girta hai… par rukta nahi. “Some moments feel like a dream… and this was one of them.” My FIRST EVER FILMFARE BEST ACTOR for Chandu Champion. From the days I only watched the black lady on TV… to holding her in my hands — this one’s for every dreamer who refuses to give up.”
He also expressed gratitude towards Sajid Nadiadwala to back the film and continued in the caption, “To #SajidNadiadwala sir and @wardakhannadiadwala , the pillars of Chandu Champion — your belief, strength and unwavering support made this film what it is. Thank you for standing by it with so much faith and love.”
He further noted, “To the real hero, @murlikantpetkar ji, whose incredible journey inspired us all — this honour belongs as much to you as to the film. To @sudeepchatterjee.isc , who painted every frame with emotion and beauty, and to @ipritamofficial whose music gave Chandu Champion its soul thank you for making the story sing.”
Kartik concluded his caption writing, “And to the entire cast and crew, every department, every person who poured their heart into this film — this black lady is a symbol of our collective dream.”
However, filmmaker Kabir Khan also appreciated Kartik Aaryan’s hard work and dedication following the big win.
He shared pictures with Kartik as well as some behind-the-scenes photos of the actor from the set on his Instagram. Alongside the pics, he penned in the caption, “This is what hard work and dedication of an actor looks like. I always knew, for an actor it was going to be very challenging to essay the role of Murlikant Petkar in CHANDU CHAMPION but @kartikaaryan rose to the occasion and delivered EVERYTHING that I had desired as a film maker.”
The filmmaker continued, “I’m so proud today to be standing with him and applauding him for winning the Filmfare BEST ACTOR award. He’s not only a star who delivers commercial blockbusters but also an actor who is hungry for roles that challenge him - a very rare combination in our industry. More power to you Champion. May you fly higher!!”
