Karan Johar joins Maheka Mirpuri to Raise Rs 4.28 Cr for underprivileged cancer patients

Held at Mumbai's renowned Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, the event brought the city's elite together in support of a deserving cause and successfully raised over Rs 4.28 crore for 2025.

In a grand evening filled with fashion, generosity, and purpose, filmmaker Karan Johar joined designer Maheka Mirpuri to host the 13th Annual Charity Gala for the Move for Cancer Awareness (M-Can) Foundation.

Held at Mumbai's renowned Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, the event brought the city's elite together in support of a deserving cause and successfully raised over Rs 4.28 crore for 2025. The funds will go directly to the Tata Memorial Hospital to help underprivileged patients receive life-saving cancer treatment.

Maheka Mirpuri has spent over 12 years advocating for cancer care through the MCan Foundation.

Her continued cooperation with Tata Memorial Hospital and the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel has been crucial in helping patients get access to critical medical care.

Speaking about the initiative, Karan Johar said, “This event is deeply personal to me. I understand the emotional and physical challenges patients and their families go through. It’s an honor to join Maheka for the third consecutive year. The funds raised here have the power to change lives, and I encourage everyone to support such meaningful causes and bring hope to those who need it most.”

Reflecting on the success of the gala, Maheka Mirpuri shared, “We are truly grateful to Karan Johar and to everyone who continues to support the MCan Foundation. Raising over ₹4 crore this year means we can help countless underprivileged patients access the treatment they deserve. Renu Oberoi, Sanjay Arora, Mahesh Notandass, Sanuj Birla, and others strongly supported the 13th Annual MCAN Charity Gala Auction. Actress Elnaaz Norouzi was the show-stopper, walking the ramp with grace and elegance as she showcased Maheka's latest fashion collection, Crimson Veil: Wearing Sindoor, Weaving Light.

The event was attended by several well-known personalities, including Gulshan Grover, Madhoo Shah, Mansi Scott, Daisy Shah, Shaina NC, Poonam Dhillon, Sunil Gavaskar, Ramesh Sippy, Jimmy Mistry, and Madhur Bhandarkar, among others.
