The trailer of one of the most anticipated war dramas this year, Ikkis, has finally been unveiled. Directed by National Award–winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis tells the extraordinary true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra.
At just 21, Arun Khetarpal laid down his life during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, earning a place in history for his unmatched courage and devotion to duty.
The film’s tagline, “Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega,” captures the essence of a hero who lived and died at 21 but became immortal in the nation’s memory.
The trailer gives a glimpse into a deeply emotional and patriotic narrative that blends Sriram Raghavan’s signature realism with an intimate portrayal of sacrifice and youth.
The story follows Arun’s journey from a spirited young soldier to a national hero, exploring themes of bravery, morality, and the burden of war.
Agastya Nanda, who plays Arun Khetarpal, steps into the role with intensity and promise. This film marks a major milestone in his budding career after his debut in The Archies. This represents his first major solo outing as a leading man. The trailer teases moments of both vulnerability and valour.
