Hema Malini visits hospital to meet Dharmendra

Veteran actor Hema Malini reached the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai where her husband and actor Dharmendra is admitted and is reportedly in ventilator. The 89-year-old legend, was reportedly taken to the hospital earlier this week after becoming short of breath.

Doctors initially claimed that Dharmendra's condition was stable, but by November 10, 2025, there were rumours that his health had deteriorated. Several sources claim that the actor was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) and kept under close observation while on ventilator support.

Since his admission, Dharmendra's family has supported him, and he is currently being cared for by senior cardiologist Dr. Dev Pahlajani. Actress Hema Malini, his wife, was clearly nervous but calm as she hurried to the hospital shortly after the news was announced. Esha and Ahana Deol, the couple's daughters, are also thought to be with their father.

A hospital source told Vickey Lalwani earlier this month, “Dharmendra came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU and is sleeping now.”

Just a few days later, on November 4, Hema Malini was seen at the airport, offering an “okay” gesture to the media — a small but reassuring sign for fans waiting anxiously for updates.

Despite his age, Dharmendra has remained remarkably active in both his personal and professional life. The actor, who turns 90 this December, underwent cataract surgery earlier this year and was said to be recovering well. Known for his warm personality and indomitable spirit, he has continued to inspire fans with his zest for life.

His younger son, Bobby Deol, recently shared in an interview that his father now spends most of his time at his Khandala farmhouse with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, enjoying a peaceful routine surrounded by family and nature.

On the work front, Dharmendra is set to appear next in Sriram Raghavan’s much-anticipated war drama Ikkis, alongside Agastya Nanda, who plays the role of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee.
