Karan Deol pays tribute to Dharmendra

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24, just a few weeks before his birthday. He would have celebrated his 90th birthday on December 8 with his close family and friends.

Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol, Sunny Deol’s son, has penned an emotional tribute recalling their cherished moments together. Karan took to his Instagram and shared a picture with his wife, Drisha Acharya and grandfather Dharmendra. The trio sat on the snowy mountain and flashed a bright smile for the cameras.

Alongside the picture, Karan penned in the caption, “Bade Papa, I grew up watching you, how you carried yourself, how you treated people, how you stayed grounded no matter what life threw at you. Everything I try to be today… a calmer mind, a kinder heart, a stronger person… it all comes from you.”

“Your hugs gave me warmth, that quiet reassurance. You made everything feel okay without even saying a word. I miss that more than I can explain. There will never be anyone like you, Bade Papa,” he added.

Karan concluded his post by thanking Dharmendra for shaping and loving him. He wrote, “Thank you for shaping me in ways I understood only when I grew up. Thank you for loving me the way only you could. I carry you with me every day. I love you. And I miss you, always. Happy Birthday!” adding heart and infinity emojis.

Karan’s post came after Sunny Deol paid birthday tribute to the veteran actor. Sunny Deol previously expressed his admiration for his father and shared that he will always be with him.

He shared a throwback video of Dharmendra and wrote, "Today is my father's birthday. Papa is always with me, inside me love you papa. Miss you.”
