Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s latest film, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, is holding on its own at the box office, despite facing stiff competition from Thamma.

According to trade tracker website, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has collected Rs 22.75 crore in its first three days since releasing on October 21, 2025.

The movie made about Rs 9 crore on its first day (Tuesday), which is similar to Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari's opening. Considering that Thamma has almost three times as many screens nationwide, this is a noteworthy accomplishment.

In contrast, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat ran steadily for the first three days. Consistent weekday performance was demonstrated by its opening day of Rs 9 crore, Day 2 opening of Rs 7.75 crore, and Day 3 of approximately Rs 6 crore, according to early estimates.

The number of people attending Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat in Hindi (2D) theatres increased noticeably on the third day of the film. The occupancy rate for morning shows was 9.99%, and in the afternoon it increased to 27.71%. With occupancy rates of 30.89% and 31.98%, respectively, evening and night shows maintained their upward trend, indicating viewers' intense and increasing interest.

The movie might surpass Sanam Teri Kasam's eventual success, which attracted a lot of attention after its re-release, and become Harshvardhan Rane's highest solo grosser.

Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and co-written with Mushtaq Shiekh, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat explores themes of obsession, desire, and emotional intensity.

A part of Moneycontrol's review of the film reads as, "Harshvardhan Rane inhabits Vikramaditya with a brooding intensity, capturing the fine line between fervent love and dangerous obsession. His expressive eyes and controlled gestures convey more than his dialogues. Sonam Bajwa matches him effortlessly as Adaa, balancing charm with strength, grace with defiance, and vulnerability with conviction. Their chemistry fuels the film, ensuring the narrative’s emotional peaks land effectively."

Packed with passion, intensity, and strong performances, the film has managed to carve its own space at the box office, even in the midst of heavy competition.
