Actor Raj Arjun has penned an emotional note on Instagram as his daughter, Dhurandhar actress Sara Arjun, garners widespread praise for her impactful Bollywood debut.

In his touching message, the actor reflected on how his journey as an artist has been shaped, and in many ways saved, by his daughter. He titled the note, “One father, one artist… and the journey of two dreams.”

Raj began by recalling his early days in Mumbai, driven by “hunger for art” and little else. With no contacts, no support system, and a string of rejections defining his initial years, he said he struggled to find his footing. Everything changed in 2005 with the birth of Sara, whom he described as the light that reignited his passion and purpose.

Calling daughters “a blessing,” Raj wrote that he understood the true depth of the phrase only after Sara entered his life. His first lead role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Shabri arrived soon after her birth, though the project faced long delays. Through years of uncertainty, the actor said it was Sara who kept him grounded. “I stayed strong for her… but she was the one holding me together,” he wrote.

Raj added that while people often say fathers show their daughters the path, his own journey was the opposite. “I reached my destination because of my daughter,” he shared. Whenever work stalled or life felt directionless, Sara’s steady growth gave him courage. “Work would stop, roads looked blurry… but she was growing… silently… holding me together.”

Reflecting on fatherhood, Raj said it is a role that constantly evolves, sometimes requiring him to be a guide, sometimes a friend, and sometimes like “air,” giving freedom and space. He emphasised that he never carved a path for her but chose to walk beside her, telling her gently: “Dream your dreams… I am right behind you.”

Sara Arjun, who first captured hearts as a child artist in Deiva Thirumagal, has now stepped confidently into Hindi cinema with Dhurandhar. At just 20, she plays Yaalina Jamil, the onscreen wife of Ranveer Singh, and has been praised for her maturity, poise, and screen presence.

Raj ended his note on a poetic promise of what’s yet to come, “The story isn’t over yet… the rest of the journey awaits in the next breath…”
