The nation is still worried about the health of the legendary actor Dharmendra, but his son, Sunny Deol's official team has finally put an end to all the rumours with a much-needed update.
In a statement shared with The Times of India, Sunny Deol’s team reassured everyone that Dharmendra is doing much better and remains under observation as a precaution.
“It’s rumour mongering like always. Sir is getting better. He’s under observation. There’s nothing to worry,” the team clarified.
The family also emphasised that the hospital visit was not an emergency but a part of Dharmendra’s regular medical routine.
The 89-year-old actor’s visit was initially described as a “routine check-up,” but rumours quickly spiralled, with several reports claiming that the beloved star had been moved to the ICU and put on ventilator support.
Anxious fans poured out messages and prayers for the actor's recovery on social media as the rumours spread. To put an end to all rumours, the Deol family has now intervened.
With the actor set to celebrate his 90th birthday in December, doctors have been keeping a close eye on his health, as is standard for someone of his age. Sources from Breach Candy Hospital have also confirmed that he is “stable and in good spirits.”
This isn’t the first time the Sholay actor’s routine hospital visits have caused unnecessary alarm. On October 31, Dharmendra’s team reiterated to Hindustan Times that his admission was for standard health tests and nothing more.

“There is absolutely no cause for concern. He is in good health and frequently visits the hospital for regular medical tests. Someone must have spotted him during one such visit, which seems to have sparked unnecessary panic among fans,” the statement read.
For more than 60 years, Dharmendra, affectionately known as Bollywood's "He-Man," has been one of the most beloved characters in Indian cinema.
His work has inspired generations of actors, from his well-known roles in Sholay, Chupke Chupke, and Seeta Aur Geeta to Dream Girl and Yaadon Ki Baaraat.
He hasn't slowed down, not even in recent years. Audiences were reminded of his enduring charm by the warm reception he received for his performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
The actor's upcoming projects include Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se and Sriram Raghavan's war drama Ikkis.
