Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on October 25 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the entertainment industry. He has starred in multiple films and entertained fans with his comic timing.
The veteran actor received emotional tributes from his friends and co-stars. Actress Deepti Naval has also paid a tribute to her ‘dear friend’ and Saath Saath co-star Satish Shah.
Deepti Naval took to her Instagram and shared a throwback picture of her with Satish Shah from the set and bid a farewell to the late actor.
She wrote, “Here’s saying goodbye to our very dear friend Satish Shah, whom I worked with in ‘Saath Saath’ - Had no clue about his health issues.”
The veteran actress and director expressed her shock over Satish Shah’s sudden demise and continued, “I was surprised when he told me he had retired from films, as he was such a wonderful actor, adored by everyone. Satish loved music and old songs.”
“Very often he would share songs with me on WhatsApp but lately we’d lost touch. My very first acting experience was with Satish. My condolences to dear Madhu - May his soul rest in peace . . . Wherever he is now, I know he is singing! @Satish Shah,” concluded Deepti Naval.
Saath Saath also starred Farooq Sheikh and Neena Gupta in the lead. The film hit the theatres in 1982 and revolves around Gita, a girl from a wealthy family, who falls in love with an idealistic Avinash, who has stern principles in life. However, his changed behaviour post-marriage troubles her.
How did Satish Shah die?Satish Shah died in Mumbai, with the initial reports citing kidney failure as his cause of death. However, his 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' co-star Rajesh Kumar later clarified that Satish Shah passed away due to a sudden heart attack.

Satish Shah is survived by his wife, designer Madhu Shah.
