Deepika Padukone's sister, Anisha Padukone, is reportedly gearing up for her wedding, according to the latest reports.
For those who may not be aware, Anisha is already engaged to Rohan Acharya, a Dubai-based entrepreneur, and the couple is expected to begin their married life in the near future. Fans and the media have taken notice as information about Rohan Acharya's intriguing past has surfaced alongside the festivities.
According to reports, Rohan is related to Sunny Deol and the Deol family as a member of their extended family. The family bond is further strengthened by the fact that his sister, Drisha Acharya, is wed to Sunny Deol's older son, Karan Deol.
Expanding on Rohan’s lineage, he is the great-grandson of legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy. Bimal’s granddaughter, Chimmu Acharya, is the mother of Rohan and Drisha. Chimmu married Sumit Acharya, a Dubai-based corporate executive, giving Rohan a blend of cinematic and entrepreneurial heritage.
A source close to the Padukones and Acharyas told Deccan Chronicle, “Ranveer Singh could well have played cupid. Ranveer’s parents and Sumit Acharya are very close. It’s a wonderful family, and Anisha and Rohan naturally clicked as they met over several gatherings.”
The wedding date is yet to be revealed, and the couple has consciously maintained a private relationship away from the spotlight, with both Deepika and Ranveer reportedly following Rohan on Instagram.
