Deepika Padukone’s sister Anisha Padukone gives niece Dua a cutest nickname 'Tingu'

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently delighted fans by sharing the first-ever pictures of their daughter, Dua, during Diwali. The pictures instantly went viral, and social media was flooded with heart emojis and adoration for the little one. Amid the excitement, Deepika’s sister, Anisha Padukone, added revealed the cutest nickname she gave her niece.

Commenting on the post, Anisha wrote, “This little piece of my heart, my Tingu.”

The pictures showcased a festive and joyous family celebration. Dua was seen twinning with her mother, Deepika, in red traditional attire, while Ranveer lovingly looked on. In one image, Dua was seen praying with folded hands while sitting on her mother’s lap.

Sharing the photos, the couple extended their Diwali greetings, spreading festive cheer among their fans.

Dua was born on September 8, 2024. In November last year, the couple introduced their daughter to the public, revealing her full name, Dua Padukone Singh. “‘Dua’ means a prayer, because she is the answer to ours. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude,” they wrote in caption.

Since her birth, the couple has maintained Dua’s privacy. They even requested paparazzi and media to respect their daughter’s space and shield her from public scrutiny. The Diwali reveal, however, gave fans a glimpse into the family’s festive celebrations and the joy Dua brings into their lives.

On the work front, Deepika will next be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal, and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. Apart from this, Deepika will also be seen opposite Allu Arjun in AA22 x A6, helmed by Atlee. The film is said to be a sci-fi action entertainer.

Ranveer, on the other hand, is gearing up for his next big-screen outing Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The action thriller also stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
