The Kapoor family came together to celebrate Anshula Kapoor's engagement to Rohan Thakkar. Anshula shared the first pictures from her Gor Dhana ceremony.
The intimate event, held on October 2, was a traditional Gujarati pre-wedding ritual akin to an engagement. The pictures beautifully captured the couple’s love and the presence of their late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, whose memory lingered throughout the ceremony.
Taking to Instagram, Anshula posted a series of tender photos featuring her father Boney Kapoor, brother Arjun Kapoor, and half-sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
Also seen at the celebration were Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, and Shikhar Pahariya, among others. In one touching photo, Boney and Arjun could be seen blessing the couple, while another captured Anshula holding onto a chair beside a framed photo of her late mother — a moment that brought tears to many eyes.
Anshula’s emotional caption read, “This wasn’t just our Gor Dhana, it was love showing up in every little detail… Ro’s favourite words have always been ‘always and forever’ — and today, they started to feel real in the sweetest way.” She added, “Ma’s love quietly wrapped itself around us — in her flowers, in her seat, in her presence that could still be felt everywhere.”
The pictures also showed Janhvi Kapoor visibly emotional as she clicked her sister’s photos, while Khushi Kapoor shared her own set of family moments, writing, “My sister’s getting married! Welcome to the chaotic family, Rohan!”
Arjun too shared a heartfelt post for his sister. "I guess it’s time I start accepting that you’ll be leaving me and going your own way soon… it’s gonna break me a little, but I also know you’re going to be with someone who can make you smile…even if not quite as much as me…but he’ll still do a great job!
I miss Mom even more now… but I know she’s watching over you, helping you find Rohan, and guiding you with her divine touch. Trust in her watchful eye and be happy.

For Anshula, this marks a new beginning in her love story with Rohan Thakkar, a writer and filmmaker. The two got engaged in New York’s Central Park earlier this year, after making their relationship public in 2023.
