Amitabh Bachchan’s “Socks over iPhone” tweet has the internet in splits; Fans call it peak Big B humour

Despite being eighty-three, Amitabh Bachchan is obviously enjoying himself, especially on social media.

Big B is in a class by himself; he frequently surprises fans with cryptic, oddball, and occasionally downright hilarious posts, whereas most celebrities use their platforms to promote films or share polished updates.

His most recent tweet, shared in the early hours of 19 October, had the internet both laughing and scratching their heads in confusion.

At 5am, the legendary actor posted a photo of his feet in socks—click seemingly taken with an iPhone—alongside a delightfully strange caption that read:

“T 5536(i)- Socks over iPhone, iPhone under socks. Can’t understand, brother, what have we discovered aaaaaa ku ku ku ku ku uuuuu…”

Naturally, the tweet went viral within hours. Some fans were in splits, delighted by his eccentric humour.

One amused user commented, “This is real i-logic, brother. Even Apple must be wondering whether to put Siri in the socks or ask Siri to talk to the socks!” Another chimed in, “Salute to Big B for this post.”

But the reactions weren’t all light-hearted. A few users took a more personal route, dragging Jaya Bachchan into the mix with cheeky comments suggesting her influence might explain the tweet.

Others called the post a subtle show of wealth, questioning why he’d “flaunt money” in such an odd way.

Still, anyone who follows Amitabh on X knows this isn’t the first time his tweets have caused a stir. Just days earlier, his T-5533 post had fans equally puzzled, with some jokingly asking why he keeps “messing with Jaya”.
