‘Aamir Khan’s family looked after Jwala Gutta during IVF,’ reveals Vishnu Vishal

Vishnu Vishal has opened up about the extraordinary bond he shares with Aamir Khan. He revealed how the Laal Singh Chaddha actor and his family played a special role during a crucial phase in his and wife Jwala Gutta’s life.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Vishnu shared that Aamir and his family not only helped the couple through their IVF journey but also cared for Jwala “like their own” for ten months.

On their fourth wedding anniversary this year (April 22), Vishnu and badminton champion Jwala Gutta welcomed a baby girl, Mira, a name chosen by Aamir himself.

The friendship between Vishnu and Aamir began in 2023, when Aamir’s mother, Zeenat Hussain, was undergoing treatment in Chennai. Vishnu recalled being contacted by Aamir’s team for help finding accommodation.

“He was in production for a movie then, and they needed me to find a home stay instead of a hotel for 2-3 months so his team would find enough space to work. I remember arranging villas for them to stay, and we became friends from there,” he recounted.

That connection soon evolved into something far deeper. Vishnu described Aamir as “the greatest gift God has given” him not just for his friendship, but for the life-changing support he offered when the couple had nearly given up on parenthood. “He helped us find a good doctor in Mumbai for IVF treatment for Jwala. And when she became pregnant, it made us very emotional because she had almost given up… he brought back joy into our lives. He treated us like nothing less than family,” Vishnu was quoted saying.

Jwala was in Mumbai with Aamir’s family for almost ten months, and his mom and sister took care of her personally. “They treated her so well,” Vishnu revealed.

Aamir who last produced Sitaare Zameen Par in now producing Lahore 1947. The film that is set against the backdrop of the partition of India in 1947 stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh.
