Within 24 hours of release, the short film amassed 6.05 million views on YouTube, marking the highest debut for a short film this year. However, Lisa has now allegedly come under fire after a behind-the-scenes moment between her and Sakaguchi sparked online criticism.

The Clip That Sparked Debate

Soon after the film’s release, both Lisa and Sakaguchi shared behind-the-scenes clips and photos from the set. One particular video allegedly showed Lisa playfully biting Sakaguchi’s arm while preparing for a bed scene. The gesture, filmed in the presence of the crew, quickly spread online. While some fans interpreted it as harmless, others allegedly viewed it as crossing professional boundaries and labeled it inappropriate behavior.

Netizens’ Reactions

Reactions online were divided but heated. Some social media users allegedly accused Lisa of “sexual harassment,” arguing that if the situation were reversed, Sakaguchi might have faced severe backlash. One post on X read: “She’s using her woman card to do this. If the roles were reversed, he would have been accused of sexual assault.”

Another viral comment criticized Lisa’s fans, alleging that some had deflected criticism by making offensive remarks about Japanese people. “I find it disappointing that her fans have turned criticism into hate speech against an entire ethnic group,” a user wrote.
