BLACKPINK’s Jennie is making waves — and this time, it’s not just on stage or in fashion campaigns, but on the US music charts.
The singer has just earned two new Gold certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), adding another impressive feat to her already glowing solo career.
On August 25 (US time), the RIAA confirmed that Jennie’s singles “Mantra” and “like JENNIE” — both featured on her debut solo album Ruby — have each surpassed 500,000 units in sales, making them officially Gold-certified.
That brings her total to three RIAA-certified solo tracks, with “One of the Girls” (her collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp) already achieving Platinum status last year.
With this achievement, Jennie now holds the record for the most RIAA-certified songs by a K-pop soloist in the United States — moving past BTS’s Jungkook in the solo category.
Jennie’s Ruby album, released in March 2025, was a bold step forward. It showed off her range not just as a singer, but as an artist with a vision. The lead single “Mantra” became an instant favourite — a fierce, feel-good feminist anthem backed by catchy pop beats. Fans connected with the lyrics, the energy, and the unapologetic confidence.
Meanwhile, “like JENNIE” brought a cool, bilingual flair — mixing Korean and English with effortless charm. The track’s vibe, visuals, and vocal delivery only added to Jennie’s growing international appeal.
Of course, this isn’t just about breaking records. Jennie’s solo journey is about carving her own path and showing that K-pop idols can thrive in global markets on their own terms. With one Platinum and two Gold certifications now under her belt, Jennie is doing just that — and redefining what success looks like for K-pop soloists in the West.
