BLACKPINK’s Jennie drops Love Hangover with Riverdale’s Reggie; fans speculate she’s ‘trying to make someone jealous’

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is back with a bang! The K-pop star has just released her new single, Love Hangover, featuring Dominic Fike, ahead of her debut solo album, Ruby, which drops on March 7, 2025. The sultry track explores the intoxicating yet toxic nature of a love that just won’t let go, with Jennie singing, “We say it’s over, but I keep f***ing with you... I wake up with this love hangover.”

The MV portrays a chaotic and passionate on-screen romance between Jennie and Melton, filled with fiery arguments and messy dates that always seem to end in disaster.

Jennie’s surprise collaboration with Melton sent fans into a frenzy, with many joking that it felt like a Riverdale x BLACKPINK crossover.

A fan gushed, “The video is amazing! So funny and witty, your voice is sooooo satisfying. I'm so in love with everything, can't stop listening to Love Hangover!!!!” Another user joked, “Is this a new multiverse of Riverdale?!?” Some fans had a more cheeky take, speculating, “Girlie is trying to make someone jealous and it might be working. Love Hangover is just a taste of what’s to come in Jennie’s first solo album, Ruby. The highly anticipated project will feature 15 tracks and collaborations with Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.

The album is set to be released under Jennie’s own label, Odd Atelier, in partnership with Columbia Records.
