BLACKPINK, currently setting stages ablaze with their DEADLINE World Tour, continues to captivate fans worldwide. After delivering electrifying performances across three cities, the group is now gearing up for back-to-back shows in Toronto on July 22 and 23.
Amid this global frenzy, speculation is mounting about the tour’s possible extension to China. According to @ChinaMusicData on X, YG Entertainment—the group’s agency—is reportedly in talks to bring the tour to the Chinese mainland.
Negotiations to reserve the famous Beijing National Stadium, also referred to as the Bird's Nest, as a possible concert venue have been alluded to by industry insiders.
Even though the reservation is still pending, the ramifications are enormous. If BLACKPINK performs at the stadium, which has 91,000 seats and is well-known for hosting the 2008 Olympics, it will be a landmark event for K-pop.
Fans think that BLACKPINK's star power could easily sell out even a venue of that size, and the venue's prestige only heightens the excitement.
Although there's been no official confirmation yet, fan reactions on social media have been nothing short of explosive. One user wrote, "can sell even 100k if they want!!", while another declared, "Blackpink largest fanbase btw." A thrilled netizen commented, "OMG THIS IS INSANE! BUT WITH BLACKPINK’S STARPOWER THEY COULD DEFINITELY SELL IT OUT."
A formal announcement is eagerly awaited by BLINKs throughout China as excitement grows.
Adding to the recent excitement, Rosé of BLACKPINK stunned fans with a phenomenal performance of "APT" with international superstar Bruno Mars during the DEADLINE World Tour in Los Angeles, creating yet another memorable moment in the group's historic journey.
