Age & Early Life

Zeishan Quadri was born in 1983 in Wasseypur, Dhanbad (then Bihar, now Jharkhand), making him around 42-year-old at present. He is the youngest child and only son of Syed Imran Quadri, a civil engineer, and has two elder sisters. Raised in a protective environment, he completed his schooling in Dhanbad before pursuing a BBA in Meerut.

Early Work Life

Post-college, Zeishan worked in a call center and later with HCL in Delhi for about 18 months, before relocating to Mumbai in 2009 to chase his dream in cinema.

Career Beginnings & Breakthrough

Zeishan's breakthrough came as the co-writer of the cult-crime saga Gangs of Wasseypur (Parts 1 & 2) directed by Anurag Kashyap. He also portrayed the memorable character Definite in Part 2.

Multifaceted Filmmaking

A true jack-of-all-trades, he’s not just an actor but also a writer, director, and producer. He directed and produced the 2015 film Meeruthiya Gangsters, and has been involved in writing for films like Prague, Halahal, and Chhalaang, among other.
