Renowned writer Manoj Santoshi, known for his work on the popular television show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, passed away on March 23, 2025, in Hyderabad, Telangana, due to a liver ailment. In his memory, a prayer meet was held on Wednesday, April 2, bringing together several celebrities who wished to pay their respects.

The prayer meet took place at Padma Hall in Juhu, from 4 pm to 6 pm, where colleagues, friends, and admirers gathered to honour his legacy. Among those in attendance were actors Asif Shaikh and Delnaaz Irani, along with several other members of the television industry, all reflecting on the profound influence Santoshi had on their personal and professional lives.

Asif Shaikh, who plays a lead role in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, was seen arriving at the prayer meet alongside his wife, offering his heartfelt tribute to the late writer. The gathering was a testament to the lasting impact of Santoshi’s work and the deep respect he garnered from his peers.



Delnaaz Irani was also seen arriving at the venue with a bouquet of flowers.


Manoj battled with a liver-related illness for a long time. Aasif Sheikh once revealed in an interview with Telly Chakkar that actress Shilpa Shinde, who played Angoori in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, took care of Manoj during his last days in the hospital. As per Telly talk, show's producer Binaifer Kohli shared confirmed that Shilpa couldn't attend the prayer meet as she is unwell too.

As the entertainment industry grieves his passing, heartfelt tributes continue to pour in, underscoring the immense void he leaves behind.
